Which work will you be exhibiting? What's the story behind this image?

John Healey, Cowboy, Spotted Horse Ranch, Wy, 2002. This photo was taken during the course of a reportage on dude ranches in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho.

What is your charity or cause? Why did you select this? Where does community work fit in with your ethos as an artist?

Venice arts is a program in venice which benefit local kids with after school help in academics as well as in the arts. They have several photo classes notably one in the mar vista projects where I have volunteered in the past.

My first and only two photo classes were in grade school and that is where i found my love for photography

Edition one hundred is founded with the idea of providing artists the opportunity to transform new technology into a tool to both produce affordable art while simultaneously connecting to non-traditional art collectors. What are your thoughts on edition one hundred?

I think it's a great way for young or new collectors to enter the field. It's also nice for the artist to know that his/her work is going into loving homes and my be the foundation for a larger collection.

How do you see this as a platform to reach a broader audience for your work?

I believe that the work of a visual artist is done only if the work is shared.

What are your thoughts on art in the digital age?

My grade school music teacher said once that if mozart were alive today he would most definitely be composing and playing on the latest and highest tech instruments available rather than on the same harpsichord....

As an artist, regularly producing work is a manifestation of your distinctive view. Also it has a lot to do with influence by the work of others. Do you collect art? If so, who do you collect? And if you had all the money in the world, who would you buy and why?

I collect photography - photographs that move me no matter the artist my favorite photograph is one by Paul Strand - the boy from gascony
